We all have to start from square one when learning any new task. Learning to make money online is no different. Somehow as human beings when we want something we want it soon if not right now. Say we want a new car, we go looking and find what we want, apply for financing, and if we qualify, can go home the same day with our new car! The same goes with many things in life that we want, we can get them “right now”. Sure, we have to keep going to work and make the payments or we wouldn’t be able to keep those things, but we were able to obtain them even before we have paid for them.
Learning something new does require a certain amount of delayed gratification. We have to put in the effort first and then if we follow the instructions well, taking action on what we have learned, we then get rewarded. Some of us will give up if we do not see quick results. That’s not to say the plan wouldn’t work, it is that we didn’t stay with it until it did! We have to continue to take action as we continue learning.
With the number of scams that are out there, many will give up because they fall prey to one or more of them. They show us a very nice, and very convincing presentation and we get snagged in. Then once we buy the course there is something else that we have to purchase (usually another one of their products) and it is one up sell after another. So before we have even learned much from the program, we already have a substantial amount of money invested. I know that feeling well because I tried many, wasted a lot of time and money and became very discouraged. I am so thankful that I did not give up! There are legitimate programs out there where we can learn how to make money online and it is easy to achieve if we make the commitment.
Sell your own product-turn your hobby into an online business
- Do you do crafts? Tie fishing flies? Write? Whatever you like to do in your spare time can become your online business. There are “store fronts” online where you can list your items to sell. I am sure you have even been on some of these sites. Have you ever been on E-Bay or ETSY? Those are just a couple of the stores that you can set up in a short amount of time and begin making sales.
Sell a product that someone else produces (affiliate marketing)
- We can sell other peoples products and make a commission from the sale. Affiliate marketing is my favorite since I don’t have to produce or ship the items, I just do the marketing (selling). I choose to research and sell only the products that I know are of good quality.
